Lund University and SURI Workshop sponsored by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB)

Misse Wester and Christian Uhr from Lund University lead a workshop that brought together academics and practitioners to focus on common challenges in a setting where actors need to establish a collaboration to efficiently meet emerging needs during major emergencies and disasters, relating specifically to leadership and information/communication. These workshops were intended to identify common areas between MSB and DHS to learn from each other, such as different approaches to tackling the 2018 wildfires in the US and Sweden. To gain input from Swedish practitioners, a follow-up workshop will be conducted in Östersund, Sweden in January.
