Presentation at the Natural Hazards Researchers Meeting

Robert Soden presented Mapping Silences, Reconfiguring Loss: Toward New Practices of Damage Assessment and Recovery in Post-Earthquake Nepal at the Natural Hazards Center Researcher’s Meet. The work examined the official damage assessment following the 2015 Nepal Earthquake, applied participatory mapping techniques, and found that information technologies play central roles in enacting repair work following crisis and breakdown.
