Dr. Rodrigo Costa has joined SURI as our new postdoctoral scholar. He recently completed his PhD at the University of British Columbia, under the advising of Dr. Terje Haukaas (Civil Engineering) and Dr. Stephanie Chang (Urban Planning and Disaster Management). His previous degrees are from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and Western Parana State University. His research has focused on development of computer simulations that incorporate regional disaster damage with community response.
